Project background
A flagship hospitality and commercial node on the Interstate 15 corridor, Murrieta Hospitality Commons brings hotel, restaurant and retail uses to one of the city's most visible freeway frontages. LDC was retained from concept through construction to deliver the civil backbone and field surveying required to bring the project out of the ground.
What this project demanded
Freeway-frontage parcels carry the highest visibility and the toughest constraints — Caltrans access controls, complex storm drainage tying into existing freeway facilities, and tight pad grading to balance earthwork against multiple building footprints and shared parking.
How LDC delivered
- Built a unified site model so hotel, restaurant and retail pads could be designed and balanced together rather than in isolation.
- Coordinated drainage and access directly with Caltrans and the City to keep approvals on schedule.
- Provided continuous construction staking so the contractor never lost time waiting on field control.
What got built
The 5.9-acre commons opened as planned, with grading, drainage and frontage improvements that allow each pad to develop independently while sharing infrastructure.
